History
West County Community
Church began on October 24, 1993, with an
attendance of 444 and an offering of $35,059.45.
There were 330 persons who committed to our
church covenant to become charter members
of WCCC. During the first eight and a half
years, WCCC met for worship and Bible study
at Lafayette High School at the corner of
Clayton Road and Highway 109 in Wildwood,
Missouri. Our offices were located at the
corner of Clarkson and Clayton roads in Ellisville,
Missouri.
On January 22, 1996 we
signed a contract to purchase 29.8 acres of
land, 1.7 miles west of Highway 109 at the
corner of Highway 100 and Mueller Road in
Wildwood, Missouri. The Lord blessed, and
we celebrated retiring the debt on our land
in June, 1996. We began construction
on Phase 1 of our site master plan (a 39,500
square foot facility with a 700 seat worship
center, 25 classrooms and offices for our
staff) on May 15, 2000 and had our first Sunday
morning service in our new building on March
17, 2002. We are currently planning to start
construction of Phase 2 of the master plan
(a 28,900 square foot addition with a 150
seat chapel, 10 classrooms, and a high school-sized
gymnasium) early in 2007.
We
are a growing church, 13 years old, ministering
to more than 1,000 persons, rejoicing in the
more than 800 persons who have been baptized
during our history.
We
are a people committed to become fully....

A
worshipping, caring, and sharing community:
Exalting the Savior
A learning community: Equipping the saints
An influential community: Evangelizing
the world. |
Our membership is made
up of persons with diverse backgrounds including
Assembly of God, Baptist, Catholic, Church
of Christ, Episcopalian, Evangelical Free,
Jewish, Lutheran, Methodist, Non-denominational,
Presbyterian, and no religious background.
Our emphasis is not on what group you
have belonged to in the past, but on the life-changing
privileges of knowing Jesus Christ
as one's personal Lord and Savior. We are
continuing to recognize that church membership
is much more than a serious decision. Church
membership is an active participation of fulfilling
that serious decision God led us to make when
we became a part of WCCC.
We are a loving church
